Choros was founded by Rob and Alex, two friends who met in New York City in 2017. Like many others who’ve moved to a new city, they faced the challenge of building a social circle from scratch. Their friendship began thanks to a mutual connection who recognized their shared values, and they’ve remained close ever since.

Through their own experiences and countless conversations, Rob and Alex saw a growing problem: many men struggle to build and maintain meaningful social connections in today’s world. Existing platforms don’t cater to how men naturally connect—through shared activities and experiences, not endless small talk or swiping on profiles.

They set out to create a solution: Choros. Designed specifically for men, Choros eliminates the awkwardness of meeting new people by focusing on action. Whether it’s playing sports, grabbing a drink, or tackling a hobby, the platform makes it easy to connect with like-minded guys in a way that feels natural and effortless.
